Mardi Gras Revisited

I thought I would take another look at a few from this year’s Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras from a more colourful perspective. I know, I know, I can hear you thinking that surely I would’ve done that in the first place, since by its nature the event is all about colour – really bright colour, at that. What can I say. I guess I was too deeply submerged in the monochrome mode at the time. Guilty as charged.

The other thing I’ve been fixating on in these photos is the summery feel: the flip-flops (or thongs, as we call them in Australia), the short skirts, the short shorts. We’re past the halfway point of winter now, and I’m starting to feel a bit desperate for the cold to “Go, just go. Right Now.” I know some folks love the cold months, but I detest it.

So, anyway, here’s my antidote for the remaining cold, dark days. Enjoy!
